Manage anger, build control, and respond with clarity, not reaction.
Service Description
Anger Management is designed to help individuals better understand, manage, and respond to anger in a healthy and productive way. Anger is a natural emotion, but when it is expressed without awareness or control, it can negatively impact relationships, employment, and personal well-being. This course focuses on building self-awareness, accountability, and practical skills to improve emotional regulation in everyday situations. Participants will learn how to identify personal triggers, recognize early warning signs of escalation, and understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The class introduces tools such as mindfulness, grounding techniques, and effective communication strategies to help individuals pause and respond rather than react impulsively. This program is appropriate for individuals seeking personal growth, as well as those who may need to satisfy court, probation, or employer requirements. Sessions are structured to be engaging, educational, and applicable to real-life experiences, with a focus on accountability without shame. Topics include: Understanding the anger cycle (trigger → thought → feeling → behavior) Identifying underlying emotions behind anger Developing healthy coping and regulation strategies Improving communication and conflict resolution skills Recognizing the impact of stress, lifestyle, and environment on emotional responses Building long-term behavior change through awareness and consistency This class is offered as an appointment-based option, allowing flexibility for individuals with varying schedules. Participants are responsible for confirming acceptance with their referring agency or court prior to enrollment. This is not a Domestic Violence or Abuse Intervention Program (AIP/BIP) and is not intended to replace those services if they are required.
